Rain

Author's Note: This is just how I think of rain.

The tears of the gods,

Spilling towards earth,

Bringing strength,

Life,

Death,

Cleansing the earth,

Until the gods cry no more,

And the rain leaves the skies

  1. Derek, I really enjoy these poems taht seemingly come from nowhere. It may be time to start reading some poets who think like you, and write with a similar style. Try Robinson Jeffers.

  2. Great poem. I thought that it was cool how you sometimes only used one word. It made it flow nicely. Great job over all.

  4. That was a cool poem. Like Collin said using one word made it flow together really well. Good job!

  5. That is really good...you should write more poetry!!! Although do you always have to put death in it?

  6. Your ideas are awesome, but I have the same questions as Maggie, why do they have to be like that? But I really liked this and the one-word-lines had a nice effect on the piece.
